Würth Opens Retail Store in China
Würth Group opened its first retail store in northeast China’s Liaoning Province, Xinhua News Agency reports.
Located in the China-Germany Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park in the province’s capital Shenyang, the store displays thousands of products, including fasteners, tools, chemical products and personal protection equipment.
“The favorable location and preferential policies of Liaoning, one of China’s northeastern rust belt provinces, offered many development opportunities for investors,” said Larry Stevens, CEO of Wurth China.
Founded in 2015, the China-Germany Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park covers 18.5 square miles for manufacturing, high-end equipment, automobile, industrial service and strategic emerging industries.
Würth Group entered the Chinese market in 1994 and now has 1,200 employees in more than 100 Chinese cities.
In February, Würth began expanding its central distribution center of Würth China in Haiyan. The 387,000 sq ft distribution center is intended as a central supply hub to provide logistics, procurement and supply concepts for customers in China. Construction is expected to last 18 months.
Germany-based Würth Group is a US$12 billion company, supplying assembly and fastening materials for the automotive, construction and engineering trades. Würth Group has 400 companies with 71,000 employees in 80 countries. Web: wurth.com
