Würth Inaugurates New Facility in Canada

The Canadian subsidiary of the Würth Group, Würth Canada Ltd. moved into a new head office situated in Guelph, Ontario. The new building houses a 26,200 sq ft administrative part and a 73,500 sq ft distribution center.
The September 13 inauguration ceremony was attended by Würth Group founder Reinhold Würth.
“With our investment in the new Guelph head office, Wurth Canada Limited clearly confirms its commitment to the city of Guelph.
“Our new building stands for high environmental standards, ergonomic workplaces and an even better service for our customers” explained Ernest Sweeney, CEO of Würth Canada. “Both our customers and our employees will benefit greatly from the state-of-the-art building. It will make their everyday work easier.“
When designing the facility Würth emphasized an ergonomic work environment and energy efficiency. Automatic processes and the use of modern technology help reduce power consumption.
Würth Canada was established in Montreal, Quebec, in 1971. Its head office had been located in Mississauga, Ontario, since 1986. Würth Canada has 467 employees, 400 of which are permanently employed sales representatives. In 2013, the Canadian subsidiary generated sales of $100 million.
