Vegas Fastener Mfg. Appoints King as Quality Manager
John Wolz
Vegas Fastener Mfg., appointed 16-year fastener veteran Larry King as quality manager. King, a certified quality engineer and certified quality auditor, was a quality engineer and supplier manager at Fairchild Fasteners, which became Alcoa Fastening Systems. He has Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
Vegas Fastener moved a year ago into a new 100,000 sq ft master-planned building in Las Vegas which houses all operations under one roof. “Our new facility has allowed us to double our production capacity, expand our metallurgical lab and tool & die departments,” co-owner Ed Cebulko noted. “Product flow is more efficient which has lead to shorter lead times.”
Richard Lassiter, Jim Foytik and Cebulko are co-owners. Lassiter founded Nevada Nut & Bolt which was later named Non-Ferrous Bolt & Mfg. Cebulko was a partner in NFBM and Foytik was plant manager. Non-Ferrous was acquired by SPS Technologies in 1998. Foytik left to start Vegas Fastener Mfg. in 1998 and Lassiter and Cebulko later joined as co-owners. SPS close its Las Vegas facility in 2000 and numerous staff joined Vegas, including Kevin Hartman, now VFM sales manager.
Vegas Fastener specializes in manufacturing hot forging of high-temperature and corrosion-resistant alloys for the power generation, marine, diesel engine, food processing, power turbine, water works, piping systems and general industrial markets.
