Trump Tariffs Spark Hat Protest
Amid a global trade war started by U.S. President Donald Trump, tariffs are on everyone’s mind these days.
Fastener master distributor Huyett has started selling red ballcaps for $15 with a “Tariffs: Make America Irate Again” message embroidered across the front.
“Spark conversations about the real-world impact of trade policies on the fastener industry and other manufacturing sectors,” the Minneapolis, KS-based distributor stated in its LinkedIn promotion. “Tariffs on steel and aluminum can significantly disrupt supply chains, increase costs, and create uncertainty for businesses, employees, and customers alike.
“These hats are a lighthearted but meaningful way to voice concerns about the unintended consequences of protectionist trade measures.”
Huyett said 100% of proceeds from every hat sold will be donated to The Salvation Army, supporting their mission to provide relief and resources to those in need.
“Together, we can make a statement about fair trade and fair play while giving back to our communities.”
