Textron Fastening Systems expanded its aerospace presence by offering threaded fasteners to airline customers, announced TFS spokesman Tim Weir.
“This is the first time weve been selling threaded fasteners to the aerospace industry in several years, Weir told FIN.
TFS unveiled its Cherry rivetless nut plates, Torx Plus drive system, threaded pins, bots and screws, and Intelligent Fastening technology on March 30, 2004, at the Aircraft Interiors Expo 2004 in Hamburg, Germany.
According to Weir, global aircraft sales are expected to reach a trillion dollars in the next decade.
We thought it was important to get back in (the threaded aerospace fastener market), Weir noted.
