Textron Fastening Systems acquired Rego Mold & Tool, a supplier of primary tooling and plastic injection molded components.\
Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
Textron reported Rego had revenue of about $10 million in 1999. Textron’s Advanced Solutions group, which serves the wireless, business equipment and medical industries, will absorb the acquisition.
Textron said the acquisition allows� the company to reduce their product development cycle times by applying Rego’s mold engineering, development and production capabilities.
Troy, MI-based Textron Fastening is a $2 billion division of Providence, RI-based Textron Inc., The parent company reported revenue of $11.58 billion in 1999, has operations in aircraft, automotive, industrial and finance sectors.
