Sundram Fasteners Appoints Krishna

Arathi Krishna was appointed executive director of India-based Sundram Fasteners. Krishna, 38, holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and has served as part of Sundram’s management team since 1992. She is the daughter of Sundram chairman Suresh Krishna.
Sundram also appointed Karthik Narayanan as the eighth member of its board.
Sundram made news in January by acquiring Textron Fastening Systems subsidiary Peiner Umformtechnick Gmbh in Germany. Peiner generates about Euro 50 million (US$59.2 million) in annual revenue, employs a workforce of 325 and has annual capacity of 18,000 tons. Web: sundram.com �2006 FastenerNews.com
