STAFDA Publishes Disaster Preparedness Manual

The Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association published a 74-page “Disaster Preparedness Manual.”

Designed to plan for workplace emergencies, the 74-page handbook written by Mike Foster of The Foster Institute and STAFDA insurance consultant Doug Austin of Sentry Insurance.

Topics include reporting emergencies, evacuation policies, emergency escape procedures and route assignments, contact information for key personnel, critical plant operations, operating fire extinguishers, rescue and medical duties for designated individuals, assembly locations and accounting for employees, alternative communications center in the event of a fire or explosion, a secured location to store records and emergency contact lists.
