We are doing a number of new things to help promote attendance at the Columbus, including paid ads in Industrial Distribution, a card deck promotion offering one-half off for exhibits-only registration and more frequent news releases, Bannister said.
Regular advance exhibit registration is $25 ($40 at the door).
The new spouse/guest pass includes a day tour to the Longaberger Homestead in Dresden, OH. It also allows spouses to visit the exhibits.

Fastener Fair Gains Global Interest
The combination of international companies that are exhibiting and easier access for international visitors is expanding the Fastener Fair.
The trade show will be June 27-28, 2001, at the new London Excel convention center.
Show organizers report exhibit space reservations are up 50% over last falls show in Donington, England.
In addition to drawing broader international interest, the show has expanded to include material, forming and processing areas for vertical representation of all aspects of the industry, Sarah Beaumont noted.
There also will be a tool plaza for hand and power tools.
There is an obvious synergy between fasteners, fixings and tools, Beaumont pointed out.

IFFI Broadens Show Appeal
The first Industrial Fastener & Forming International show and conference is inviting international attendees and distributors to the show designed primarily for fastener machinery makers and other suppliers to exhibit to fastener manufacturers.
The June 5-7, 2001, show at the Cleveland (OH) Convention Center is sponsored by the Industrial Fasteners Institute and International Fastener Machinery Association.
The breadth of the show makes it very desirable for fastener and other metalforming manufacturers and for distributors who also use a wide variety of the machines, products and services exhibited, IFI managing director Rob Harris commented.
Many of the daily conferences are relevant to all sectors of the industry. Topics of interest beyond just manufacturing include new environmental auditing, standards globalization, economics, platings and coatings. The conferences are co-sponsored with IFI and IFMA by Fastener Technology International magazine.
The day after the show there are tours to the National Machinery plant in Tiffin, OH, and Sacma Machinery Corp. in Westlake, OH.
Attendance is now starting to really build with both North and South American manufacturers and other international representation, Harris added.
Exhibit space is nearly sold out, Harris reported.
