Mike Massengill, plastics design engineer, has joined EFC International, the company announced on Twitter.

MW Industries Inc. is marking the 40th anniversary of its founding in Texas by Peter Mess.

Started in 1976 as a tool and die company, MW Industries expanded into washers, fasteners and metal stampings.

“We would like to thank our customers for the successes that MW Industries has achieved over the past 40 years,” Mess said. 

Today MW Industries’ manufacturing facility is located on an eight-acre site and has nine punch presses; six other presses with capacities from 120 to 500 tons; two Servo feeders; four shearing machines; air feeder; CNC lathe; eight milling machines; four surface grinders; four manual lathes; three heat treating ovens; vibratory demurring machines and parts cleaning equipment.  MW produces standard and metric fasteners and offers prototyping services, design assistance and has CAD/CAM capabilities.

The staff has a total of 400+ years experience in custom machining and fabricating.  Last year Andy Hees, Rick Evangelista and Theresa Cater were named to the new management team.

TriMas Corp. appointed Marc Roberts as president of its Energy segment. 

The Energy segment, consisting of the Houston-based Lamons business, designs, manufactures and distributes metallic and non-metallic gaskets, bolts, industrial fasteners and specialty products for the global petroleum refining, petrochemical, oil field and industrial markets.

Roberts has nearly 25 years of experience in business development, manufacturing, supply chain and lean initiatives.

Since 2011, Roberts served as VP of operations and supply chain at Silgan Plastics, with responsibility for leading the operational strategy and providing leadership for 20 manufacturing sites, strategic planning, supply chain, operational excellence, human resources, and environmental health and safety. Previously he was senior VP of operations and supply chain at Spartech Corp. 

Roberts also served in sales and operational roles at Precision Castparts Corp. and Johnson Controls, Inc.

Roberts holds bachelors in mechanical engineering from Cornell University.
