SFS Acquires Gesipa

Switzerland-based SFS intec acquired Gesipa Blindniettechnik of Germany, including Gesipa Fasteners USA Inc. The two companies will operate under the umbrella of SFS intec Holding, but continue to use existing trade names and be responsible for established businesses.

“Gesipa and SFS Intec will be working together in the future,” Roland Biermann, Thomas Bamberger and Helmut Binder wrote in a joint statement.

Biermann is Gesipa’s managing partner and during 2009 will hand over responsibilities to the Gesipa management team headed by Bamberger.

Rivet manufacturer Gesipa reported 2007 sales of Euro 108 million (U.S.$144.1m). Gesipa has 600 employees at 14 locations in 10 countries and is headquartered in M�rfelden-Walldorf, south of Frankfurt am Main. Steve Rogers is general sales manager for Gesipa USA. Web: gesipausa.com
