Quality Manager

Würth Timberline Fasteners Inc., Denver, Colorado 

Summary:

Manage the decision making process and taking actions that ensure the proper operation of the Company quality system and the quality of products and services to the customer.

Responsibilities:

Manage the daily operations of the quality control staff;
Works closely with all departments  
Ensure the proper use and maintenance of equipment (calibration, repair and record-keeping);
Train and perform metallographic presentation of samples for inspection, PPAP, and analysis as needed;
Ability to train and conduct analysis of samples for grain flow and microstructure;
Perform metallurgical problem solving of defective product;
Set up inspection reports in software;
Identify and control non-conforming product, ensuring that all non-conforming quantities and characteristics are documented and logged for DPPM tracking;
Involve identified supplier as required to assist in resolving issues;
Complete inspections, PPAPs, ISIRs, and other customer specific inspections as directed by management;
Assist in maintaining calibration and Gage R&R system;
Lead the corporate ISO 9001 quality system and ensure continued preparedness through internal audits. 
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Sourcing/Quality.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilites:

High school diploma or equivalent required;
At least three years related experience in a quality lab with advanced inspection equipment and techniques for metallurgical analysis;
Knowledge of industrial fasteners and IFI standards;
Demonstrated knowledge of ISO 9001;
Excellent communication skills;
Strong computer skills, with basic Microsoft Outlook and Excel knowledge; ability to learn new software quickly;
Problem solving abilities and strong attention to detail;
Excellent team player and individual contributor;
Ability to stand and inspect product continually each day
Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs. when necessary
Basic math skills
