Problems At Reno Center Hurt Lawson Sales
Jason Sandefur
Lawson Products Inc. reported sales, including fasteners, slipped 3.6% to $125 million during the first quarter of 2008, while net income dropped 4% to $4.4 million. Sales were hampered by “service level disruptions” at Lawson’s Reno distribution center. Those problems were remedied by the end of the quarter.
“I am encouraged by our progress,” stated CEO Thomas Neri. “We are continuing to build our supply chain operations and sales capabilities.”
Q1 operating income declined 2.5% to $7.9 million. Web: lawsonproducts.com 2008 FastenerNews.com
