Nylok Plans Expansion
John Wolz
Nylok Fastener Corp. president Max Dorflinger announced plans for expansion of marketing capabilities, accelerated product development, adding production capacity and new manufacturing facilities.
“Nylok has the resources and corporate support as a member of the Marmon Group of companies to become bigger, better and more capable of meeting the increased demands of a growing customer base,” Dorflinger said.
Marmon acquired McComb, MI-based Nylok in 2000. Marmon has more than 100 autonomous manufacturing and service companies with operations in 50 countries, 40,000 employees and collective sales of $7 billion.
Dorflinger has headed Nylok since 1979 when he and a group of executives purchased it from USM Corporation.
Dorflinger cited the new 20,000 sq ft facility in Arlington, TX, as an example of expansion goals.
Dorflinger plans expansion of global capabilities and marketing. Nylok supplies nylon patch locking elements for internally and externally threaded self-locking fasteners, and value-added fastener products. Nylok operates processing facilities in California, Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey and Canada and has 20 licensee companies in Asia, Europe and South America.
