Messe Frankfurt Announces Asian Fastener Show In Southern China

A new Southern China fastener trade show has been announced by Messe Frankfurt. Asia Fastener, a trade fair for fasteners, components, parts and related production technology, will be held September 24-26, 2008, at the Guangzhou International Convention & Exhibition Centre. \
Messe Frankfurt, the German organizers of the show, note that China is now the largest fastener producer in the world, with more than 7,000 fastener manufacturers with sales totaling US$7 billion for 2007.
The consumption rate for industrial fasteners in China is increasing at an annual rate of 18%, according to show organizers. Recent export values of industrial fasteners have increased 37% from 2006 to US$ 3.34 billion.
Guangzhou is located in the Guangdong province, the hub of China”s manufacturing industry. Currently there are nearly 2,500 fastener producers operating in Guangdong, producing one-third of the country”s total output.
The fastener & fixing platform will be populated by Asian producers and suppliers mainly from China and Taiwan. The inaugural event includes manufacturing technology platform where exhibitors will offer manufacturing equipment, inspection machines, tooling and dies, and materials aimed at manufacturers of fasteners and similar parts.
Asia Fastener will run alongside AsiaMold trade fair.
In 2007 Messe Frankfurt organized 113 trade fairs, including 69 outside Germany. With annual sales of Euro 423 million (US$661.4m), 1,400 employees worldwide, 14 subsidiaries, five branch offices and 48 international sales partners. Messe Frankfurt”s home exhibition grounds total 578,000 square meters with nine exhibition halls and adjacent Congress Centre. Messe Frankfurt is 60% owned by the City of Frankfurt and 40% by the state of Hesse.
