French fastener maker LISI Group has acquired two companies: Seignol and Intermed Application.
Seignol manufactures surgical and ancillary implants, with 80 employees and sales of EUR 11 million (US$15.84 million) in 2007. LISI said the acquisition strengthens its medical division, which has about 230 employees and annual revenue of EUR 25 million (US$ 36m).
“With the integration of Seignol and Intermed Application, we are moving on to a new stage in the construction of LISI Medical,” stated Jean-Louis Colders, CEO of LISI Aerospace. “Relying on their skills, their special processes and the diversity of their applications, we are going to accelerate our long-term progression.”
Intermed Application offers capacity for spectrum coloring, laser marking and decontamination.
Seignol and Intermed Application are both based in Neyron, France.
LISI Group manufactures fasteners and assembly components for the aerospace, automotive, and fragrance-cosmetics industries. LISI Group employs 6,500 people and reported 2006 revenue of EUR 740 million (US$1.06 billion). LISI is listed on the Paris Stock Exchange under the symbol FII.
