Lawson Profit Increases
Jason Sandefur
A 10% jump in sales for Lawson Products Inc. helped produce an 18% increase in earnings to $6.6 million during the third quarter of 2005, despite “difficult supply environments.” Q3 sales were helped by successful pricing management programs to accommodate cost increases.
Sales during the first nine months of 2005 rose 8.3% to $338.5 million, but net income dipped 1.5% to $17.2 million. Lawson faced industry-wide increases in transportation and raw material costs in 2005. Web: lawsonprod.com 2005 FastenerNews.com
