LAFA Offering Specialist Training at Fastener Week

The Los Angeles Fastener Association will offer one of its Certified Fastener Specialist technical training programs during Fastener Week 2005 in Chicago.
LAFA”s “Dimensional & Material Specifications” class will be offered on Monday, June 6, 2005. The course taught by Joe Greenslade and Carmen Vertullo will cover thread specifications and gaging requirements, dimensional specifications for bolts, hex cap screws, nuts, socket products, machine screws and tapping screws.; material specifications for carbon steel and stainless steel products. The session includes “everyday, hands-on case studies and lots of real life information,” LAFA executive director Vickie Lester explained. The course is “not generalities: just the facts, the technical facts.”
Fastener Week 2005 is June 6-9, 2005, at the Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL, near Chicago”s O”Hare International Airport.
Fastener Week includes two co-located trade shows. The distribution-oriented Mid-West Fastener Show will be Tuesday and Wednesday. The manufacturing-oriented Industrial Fastener & Forming International will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
