Kanebridge’s LaPoma Sleeping Outside To Raise Money for Homeless Youth
Vic LaPoma of Kanebridge Corporation will be sleeping outside the night of November 15, 2018, to raise money for homeless youth.
LaPoma said he decided to join a group of people with Covenant House “in an attempt to experience what many of our homeless youths experience every night, 12 months a year. They sleep outside in all weather, with no security, no protection, and very little hope that the future will be any different than the present.”
“It will be uncomfortable, probably cold, but also a wake-up call for me that so many of our young people today live this life every day,” LaPoma said.
The goal is for each “sleeper” is to raise $5,000. Covenant House has set up a donation page for LaPoma’s friends: https://www.sleepout.org/participant/16975.

LaPoma noted that while he has had multiple addresses over his lifetime, but none compare to the house he grew up in. That house “for many reasons, it does give me a greater sense of security which sometimes, I take for granted.” Web: Kanebridge.com
