Interwire & IFE Discount Registration Deadline April 19

The deadline for advance discount registration for Interwire and International Fastener Exposition is April 19, 2007. The “Wire in Motion” convention will be May 5-10, 2007, at the I-X Center in Cleveland. The co-located Interwire and IFE fastener machinery trade shows will be May 7-10.
There are more than 40 educational and networking sessions during Interwire & IFE. The general full registration for non-members of participating groups is $395 by April 19 and $495 thereafter. There also are advance discounts for some educational programs, the 5K race and golf outing and other events.
Sponsors anticipate 500 exhibiting companies and participants from 50 countries. IFE is sponsored by the International Fastener Machinery & Suppliers Association and Interwire is sponsored by the Wire Association International.
The keynote address will be given by Patrick Cleary, senior vice president for communications at the National Association of Manufacturers. The Mordica Lecture on “Measuring Progress in the Wire Industry” will be presented by Ethem Erdas of Beta LaserMike. Educational sessions include: “Lean Manufacturing,” “Wire & Cable Supply Chain,” “Strategies for Competing & Winning in the Global Marketplace,” Fundamentals of Wire Manufacturing: Ferrous & Nonferrous Tracks; three “Measuring & Testing” topics; three Nonferrous/Electrical” session; six “Wiredrawing” sessions; six “Hot to Demos,”; “Where is the Money in Wire & Cable?”; four Wire Rod & Fasteners technical papers; four Cables technical papers; four Nanotechnology & Ferrous technical papers; and four Nonferrous technical papers; steel wire workshop; and a plant tour of Charter Steel.
There are seven hotels with shuttle bus service. Hotel rates range from $80 to $156. The deadline for the prices is April 30.
