Carpenter Technology Corp. opened a new steel service center in Redditch, UK, which is double the size of its original UK facility.
Reading, PA-based Carpenter manufactures 450 specialty metals and will service UK, Ireland, African and Mideast customers from the center.
The new 13,000 sq ft building allows Carpenter to increase inventory in the UK.
Mike McGarry is managing director of Carpenter�s European operations, and Skip Reinert is UK marketing manager.
