Industrial Nut Co. Turns 102

Industrial Nut Corp. marks its 102 anniversary this year.
Headed by third-generation CEO William Springer, the family-owned business manufactures special fasteners for use in earth-moving machines, heavy trucks, diesel engines, farm machinery and other assemblies.
According to its website, Industrial Nut was founded in 1908 by Springer’s grandfather, William Senn, along with George Zimmerman and Frank Brightman. The company, named Brightman Hammered Nut & Manufacturing Co., manufactured special machinery and nuts in a red frame building in Sandusky, OH.
On a business trip Senn had met machinest-inventor Brightman, who had ideas for drawbenches, screw machines and nut-making equipment.
