IFI Seeks Nominations For Soaring Eagle Awards

The Industrial Fasteners Institute is seeking nominations for its Soaring Eagle awards program. The awards program was inaugurated in 2001 to recognize “those persons who have ascended far beyond the expected in their contributions to the North American fastener industry and the many industries it serves.”
Candidates may be with fastener companies, suppliers, end users, government or academia. Contributions could include standardization, quality assurance, government relations, user-producer interfaces, education, publication and information, technical practices, supplier relations, improved raw materials, tooling, machinery, lubricants or related manufacturing concepts, detection of hydrogen embrittlement, plating improvements, management/employee practices, leadership and industry relations.
There are three award classifications: technology, meritorious service and leadership.
