IFFI Conference Features Coldforming 101; Trends Programs

New technology and trends and a one-day fundamentals of cold forming will be featured at International Fastener & Forming International Exhibition & Conference.
The second IFFI will be held June 2 to 5, 2003, at the Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL, near Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.
The Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday show, designed primarily for machinery and suppliers to exhibit to fastener manufacturers, is organized by the Industrial Fasteners Institute and International Fastener Machinery Association.

Ford Fasteners Inc. marks its 40th anniversary in May. Hackensack, NJ-based Ford began manufacturing 410 stainless screws, Type A & B self-tappers in 1963 and expanded to include 410SS thread cutters. The company slogan became “Ford for 410.” Ford also produced 18-8 stainless and aluminum screws.
George Cellary, who remains active in the company, founded Ford. Sons Steve Cellary and Chris Cellary run daily operations. Sales manager Bob Dickinson has been with Ford for 27 years.
