Hill Fastener Started in Rural Illinois
Editor’s Note: The following history and description was provided by Robert Hill in 2009.
The Hill Fastener Corporation was founded in 1957 by cousins Bill and Jack Hill for the manufacture and distribution of special fasteners for the local builders hardware industry.
Due to their rural Illinois location, their sales naturally expanded to include the farm implement industry in that state and Iowa, the lawn and garden and outboard marine manufacturers in Wisconsin, and the trucking and RV industries in Indiana.
Expansion continued over the years, and the company now sells nationally and internationally from a modern 48,000 sq. ft. facility at its original location in a size range of #10 (m5) thru 5/8″(m16) diameters to 6″(150mm) in length.
Today’s management includes Robert Hill, son of founder Bill Hill as chairman and CEO, and Preston Boyd as president and COO. ©2009 GlobalFastenerNews.com
