H&C Tool Supply Marks 50th Anniversary

H&C Tool Supply Corporation is marking 50 years in business. President Peter Cowgill pointed to continued record sales growth and optimism “even in the face of the shrinking manufacturing base in Western and Central New York.”
“We are very grateful for the excellent support of our loyal customers and employees, many of whom go back with us 30 or 40 years,” Cowgill said. “Also, we are fortunate to have excellent suppliers that provide us with superior quality products to distribute and engineer with those customers. We look forward to a bright future.”
The fastener and metal-cutting tools distributor was founded in 1955 by William Cowgill and Van Buren Hansford. Always headquartered in the Rochester, NY, the company opened on University Avenue and made three moves, reaching their current location in 1982.
Hewes Fastener was purchased by H&C in 1991. In 2003 branch offices were opened in Buffalo and Syracuse. The company recently expanded import and export activities and H&C received ISO 9001-2000 certification.
H&C Tool and Hewes Fastener are industrial distributors of fasteners, metal cutting tools, abrasives, Davenport replacement parts, cutting and grinding fluids and MRO supplies. E-mail: info@hctoolsupply.com Web: hctoolsupply.com 2005 FastenerNews.com
