W.W.Grainger opened its first branch in Panama.
“Grainger selected Panama as its second expansion market in Latin America, after Mexico, because it offers exciting business opportunities and a business-friendly environment,” vice president of international market development Bonnie McIntyre said.
Grainger’s 23,000 sq ft showroom and store at the intersection of Via Simon Bolivar and October 12 Avenue, stocks 20,000 products. Jesse Ortega is Panama general manager. Grainger also has sales representatives throughout Panama.
In North America, Grainger developed disaster preparedness and technical education programs. Grainger will contribute US$30,000 of facilities maintenance products to Sistema Nacional de Protecci�n Civil (SINAPROC), the country’s leading disaster preparedness and response agency.
Grainger supplies MRO products to 1.8 million customers in 150 countries.
