Our distinguished client, Hi-Tech Fasteners, Inc., seeks a strong General Manager with 7+ years of progressively responsible experience to lead the day-to-day operational functions of their highly successful distribution enterprise. The General Manager will bring value to the organization with an extensive background in distribution operations, financial management, customer service and employee relations. Reporting to the President, the General Manager will direct all departmental performance and advise the owner group on key corporate strategies as they relate to business, operational and financial goals.
Hi-Tech Fasteners, Inc. is a factory authorized stocking distributor for dozens of leading engineered fastener, electronic hardware, and mechanical component lines. The company serves electronics, telecommunications, medical, computer, aerospace, instrumentation, and other high-tech and commercial industries. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Collaborate with owner group to shape business strategies to attain short and long-term operational and financial goals.
– Implement general policies established by owner group, direct their administration and execution.
– Manage all day-to-day operations, activities and relationships between company and employees, customers, suppliers, community and industry.
– Direct development of sales and marketing plans, new markets, promotions and sales incentive programs.
– Direct activities in sales territories and major customer accounts.
– Coordinate development of operating and capital budgets, ensure adherence to budgets.
– With human resources manager, oversee implementation of effective HR program to develop high-performing workforce.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
– B.S. degree in business, accounting or related field.
– 7-10 years distribution experience, preferably in fastener industry.
– Experience implementing continuous improvement plans.
– Entrepreneurial and self directed, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
– Ability to interact effectively at multiple levels; strong relationship building skills.
– Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to effectively present information.
