The FIN Fastener Stock Index rose 6.2% for 2001, compared with overall related stocks climbing 7.3% from December 31, 2000, to the end of 2001.
Fastener stocks gaining more than 10% for 2001 were: Aviall, Barnes, Chicago Rivet, Fastenal, Illinois Tool Works, Nucor, R&B and TransTechnology.
Fastener stocks losing more than 10% for 2001 were: Danaher, Fairchild, Federal Screw Works, Honeywell, Park-Ohio, Pentacon (now part of Anixter), Precision Castparts, Questron (now part of General Electric), SPS Technologies and Textron. \�2002 FastenerNews.com
