Federal Screw Works reported sales rose 3.4% to $22,990,000 in the fiscal quarter ending December 31, 2002 over the same period of the previous year.
Sales for the past six months totaled $46.2 million, up 5.5% from the same period of 2001.
Net earnings for the quarter fell 72.4% to $122,000, compared with Federal Screw Work�s second fiscal quarter of 2001. Net earnings in that quarter of 2001 were boosted by the sale of stock acquired in connection with the demutualization of an insurance company.
Half year net earnings jumped 21.7% over the same period of 2001 to $583,000.
