Fastening Exhibition in Russia’s Urals

The second Fastening exhibition will be held September 16-18, 2008, in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
Natalia Makarova of Ural Exhiitions-2000 told Fastener & Fixing editor Phil Matten that Fastening and metalware production is dominated by five major Russian companies: Severstal-metiz, MMK-Metiz, Mechel, EvrazHolding and Metallurgical Holding.
The Urals or Sverdlovsk region has about 270 fastener and metalware companies.
Fastening was organized by JSC Ural Exhibition- 2000 due to a building boom.
In addition to the trade show, seminars include the “Development and perfecting of die forging technology using QForm”;” “Latest technologies in metal cutting;” and “Innovation management in business: strategy for the future.”
Yekaterinburg, the former Sverdlovsk, in central Russia on the eastern side of the Ural mountain range is the administrative center of the Sverdlovsk region. Yekaterinburg has a population of 1.3 million, making it Russia’s third largest city. Web: eng.uv2000.ru �2008 FastenerNews.com
