The National Fastener Distributors Association online excess inventory listing program is now available to members on 1stFastener.com. NFDA members may access the site and buy listed excess, surplus or additional inventory electronically at no cost. NFDA members who register with 1stFastener.com will be able to list inventory. Members may use the 6,000-company database, post their company profile and catalogue, bid on machinery, and send target broadcast ads. NFDA executive vice president Dave Merrifield said income from the site will be used for technical training and other NFDA programs � Greenslade Fastener Services LLC, which separated from Greenslade & Company as a manufacturers rep now owned and operated by John Bergstrom and Chad Hageman, has a web site at greensladefs.com E-mail: sales@greensladefs.com � Porteous Fastener Company launched an interactive web site with stock check and order entry modules for established customers at porteousfastener.com. Customers can check stock at the 14 PFC locations and place orders using a cross-referenced part number or the PFC part number. Barry Porteous noted that customers �need a familiar and simple tool to get at our stock, especially after hours, and even when on the phone talking to their customers Our inventory becomes their inventory.� � Cold Header Machine Corporation launched a new web site at coldheadermachinecorp.com CHMC technical support manager Steve Van Duzen said customers of the Boca Raton, FL-based supplier of precision cold heading, thread rolling and secondary operations machines were consulted to determine their information needs � FastenerIndustry.com was launched by Valparaiso, IN-based RME Corporation to provide listings of fastener manufacturers and distributors. The web site also provides listings of suppliers to fastener manufacturers from related web sites: coldheader.com, coldheadingwire.com and rawmaterialexchange.com � Dave Morgan, Houston branch manager for Bell Fasteners/Zelenda Metric, launched a free Internet fastener bulletin board at http://pub57.ezboard.com/bfasteners The industry can post RFQs or surplus, ask questions of fastener experts and post messages. Morgan said he launched the bulletin board because the fastener industry doesn�t have an equivalent. He has no plans for advertising or other commercial use of the bulletin board. There is no cost or subscription � Chen Hung Lin of Ming Dar announced Iproducts.com.tw/fastener/mtm as a source for header punches and punch dies. Ming Dar has been in forming tools for 13 years. � The SPS Technologies Inc. web site was featured in World Web Watch. The spstech.com/aero site includes Fastener Finder, a database of over 6,500 part numbers and associated drawings.
