Fastenal Sales & Profit Remain Strong

The Fastenal Co. reported strong sales and profits during the third quarter of 2006, with revenue gaining 16.9% to $470.1 million and net earnings growing 17.8% to $54.1 million.
Revenue during the first nine months of 2006 rose 19.4% to $1.36 billion, while net earnings increased 20.2% to $153.5 million.
Fastenal noted that rising fuel prices continued to hurt its bottom line during 2006, despite a softening in diesel prices to $2.90 per gallon in September.
