Fastenal is relocating and expanding one of its West Coast distribution centers from Fresno, CA, to Modesto, the Modesto Bee reports. Fastenal will reportedly open a 13-acre, 328,000 sq ft facility by April 2006, bringing as many as 300 new jobs to Modesto. In Fresno the company had operated a 55,000 sq ft building with about 75 employees, according to the Modesto Bee.
The new facility will become a master distribution center serving 300 stores in California, Arizona, Hawaii, Nevada and western Mexico, along with distribution centers in Salt Lake City, Seattle and eventually Los Angeles, according to Terry Hanley, vice president of West Coast operations. \ �2005 FastenerNews.com
