December 21 Deadline for IFI Soaring Eagle Award Nominations

The deadline for nominations for the Soaring Eagles Awards is December 21, 2007. The Industrial Fasteners Institute is seeking nominations the three awards: The Trowbridge Award for advancement of fastener application engineering and design/application knowledge; The Case Award for meritorious service to the IFI and industry; and the Ward Leadership Award for direction, vision and focus on resolution of strategic issues.
The IFI requests nominees whose contributions have advanced the stature, technology and/or application engineering of fasteners and formed parts. Possible contributions include: standardization, quality assurance, government relations, user/producer interfaces, education, publication and information, technical practices, supplier relations or improved raw materials, tooling, machinery, lubricants and related manufacturing concepts, hydrogen embrittlement detection, platings & practices, management/employee practices, leadership or industry relations.
Nominees may be from fastener companies, suppliers, end users, government or academia.
Nominations forms are available from the IFI and must be submitted to the IFI by December 21, 2007, at 6363 Oak Tree Blvd., Independence, OH 44131. Fax 216 241-5901.
