Tinnerman Palnut Engineered Products is closing its Massillon, OH, facility and shifting production to its remaining plants. Tinnerman Palnut is not closing its Brunswick, OH, facility as stated in the Aug. 19, 2003, issue of FIN. The company will continue to produce fasteners at its plants in Brunswick; Mountainside, NJ; and the Canadian division in Hamilton, Ontario. The Massillon plant should close by the end of September.
Tinnerman Palnut is expanding its Hamilton operations with a new 48,000 sq ft building. The $1.8 million expansion should be completed by November 1. The Hamilton plant sells to Ford, DaimlerChrysler, General Motors and Toyota, their Tier suppliers and numerous distributors that supply industrial manufacturers.
