China Hosts Dueling Fastener Shows in September

The inaugural Asia Fastener, a trade fair for fasteners, components, parts and related production technology sponsored by Messe Frankfurt, will be held September 24-26, 2008, at the Guangzhou International Convention & Exhibition Centre.
China Fastener Info is sponsoring the competing Fastener Trade Show September 23-25, 2008, in Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Centre.
Last month China Fastener Info announced that they expect 600 Chinese exhibitors.
Chinafastener.info claims support from a wide range of organizations including the China fastener Standardization Committee, Hong Kong Screw & Fastener Council, Haiyan Industrial Fasteners Institute of China, Guangdong Province Fastener Association, Jiaxing Fasteners Import & Export Manufacturers Association, Yongnian Fastener Association, Shanghai Fasteners and Welding Consumables Research Institute.
The Chinafastener.info aims to attract 8,000 visitors.
The program for the show includes a first night banquet at the Dongfang Grand Hall, a meeting for ChinaFastener.info members members, its tenth anniversary reception and a “Face2face meeting for members and experts.”
The Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center was constructed in 2007 by the regional and city governments of Guangdong. There is one exhibition and meeting space tower and two towers with the 999-room Oriental International Convention Hotel. Web: fastenertradeshow.info
Messe Frankfurt reports there are nearly 2,500 fastener producers operating in Guangdong, producing one-third of the country’s total output.
The fastener & fixing platform will be populated by Asian producers and suppliers mainly from China and Taiwan. The inaugural event includes manufacturing technology platform where exhibitors will offer manufacturing equipment, inspection machines, tooling and dies, and materials aimed at manufacturers of fasteners and similar parts.
