China Fastener Exports Up 39%

Fastener exports from China rose 39% to 409,911 tons during the first six months of 2003, according to the Xinhua News Agency. The value of steel and copper fastener exports increased 46% to $382.1 million for the period.
In June, China exported 74,445 tons of steel and copper fasteners valued at $70.1 million, Xinhua reported.
First half wire rod exports jumped 154% to 1.26 million tons worth $350.9 million, a 190% increase.
The amount of wire rod exported in June reached 260,000 tons worth $75.8 million, Xinhua reported. �2003 FastenerNews.com
