China Fastener Exports Slow
Jason Sandefur
Slowing from its typical double-digit rate of growth, China exports of steel and copper fasteners grew by less than 4,000 tons to reach 199,819 tons in October, Xinhua News Agency reports. The export value increased 12% to $260.3 million, boosted by a weakened U.S. dollar.
During the first 10 months of 2007 China exports of steel and copper fasteners gained 27% to 2.2 million tons, with the value rising 40% to $2.8 billion. 2008 FastenerNews.com
