China Fastener Expo Draws Attendees from 39 Countries

The third Fastener Trade Show in Hangzho, China reported 239 exhibiting companies with 282 booths on 13,000 sq meters of space.

There were 21 exhibitors with special design exhibits totaling 52 booths.

Organized by China Fastener Info, the show was held March 23-25, 2010, at the Leisure Expo Garden Exhibition Center.

There were 123 exhibiting companies and 5,107 attendees at the first Fastener Trade Show and 275 exhibitors and 7,212 attendees last year.

The show organizers said there were 7,662 buyers from 39 countries for the 3rd show.

There were 681 from outside China, including Japan (17%), Malaysia (12%); and Turkey, India and the U.S., 7% each.

Other countries represented include: Singapore, South Korea, Cambodia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Slovenia, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Argentina, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Spain, Belgium, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, Hungary, Sweden and Switzerland.

The exhibition was co-organized by Zhejiang Fasteners Industry Association, and supported by the China Productivity Center for Machinery, China Fasteners Standardization Technical Committee, China National Center for Quality Supervision and Test of Standard Parts.

In addition to the trade show there were meetings for members of the West Lake and San Ren Zing associations.

Li Qin, chair of China Productivity Center for Machinery; Li Weirong, chair of China Fastener Standardization Technical Committee; and Xu Deren, executive vice president & secretary general of Zhejiang Fasteners Industrial Association spoke the welcoming reception.

“Owing to the recovery of the global manufacturing industry, our orders have been increasing significantly since October 2009,” Gao Yuanmai, general manager of Wenzhou Sanlin Metals Products Co. Ltd. observed. “The inventories of our customers have been almost digested, so the demand is on the rise. From this aspect, we anticipate that the sales this year will be better.”

Another exhibitor, Zhang Zhihao, vice president of SRC Metal (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was quoted by show organizers saying, “the impact of financial crisis is gradually fading, I think the fastener industry will see an earlier recovery. The orders now are more than that in 2009.”

Show organizers said their survey showed 77% of exhibitors responded that they were either satisfied or extremely satisfied with show results and 80% of visitors reported finding the right suppliers.

The 4th Fastener Trade Show will be September 8-10, 2010, at the Poly World Trade Expo Center (Pazhou) in Guangzhou, with the theme of “Universal Gathering, New Milestone.”
