Bufab acquired French fastener firm Chapellet S.A. Chapellet has annual revenues of about SEK 300 million (US$46 million) and approximately 150 employees, according to Fastener & Fixing Europe. Former owners Christiane Schulz and Martine Chavrier will remain at the company until July 2008.
The acquisition complements existing Bufab sales activities in France, which total about SEK 50 million (US$7.7m).
The company France Inox, which specializes in acid proof and stainless parts, is included in the acquisition, as is Chapellet Fasteners Trading (Shanghai) Ltd. Co., giving Bufab a stronger presence in Asia.
The name of the new company will be Chapellet Bufab SA.
