AFS Opens Indianapolis Facility

Alcoa Fastening Systems opened a 10,000 sq ft commercial products distribution center in Indianapolis, IN, to serve Midwestern markets. The facility will handle all AFS brands, including Huck, Recoil and Marson. AFS’ distribution center in Carmel, IN, was consolidated into the new facility.
The new center will serve as a distribution point, primarily to distributors, as well a few OEM customers, according to Rod Alavi, director of distribution sales & marketing.
“We are excited at the prospect of serving all our distributors’ needs in a very timely fashion, shipping from one logistics location, instead of four different factories,” Alavi stated. “Our stock levels, responsiveness and fill rate should be even better than before.”
