Jason Bader of Acme Construction Supply in Portland, OR, is the 2003 president of the Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association. Bader served as vice president in 2002.
Craig Russell of Santa Fe Springs, CA-based Active Sales Co. was named vice president at STAFDA�s annual convention in Anaheim.
Bader succeeds Jim Beckstein of Mill Supplies Inc. in Ft. Wayne, IN.
Bob Geyer of Pompano Beach, FL-based Grabber; Doug Hahn of Hahn Systems Inc. in Indianapolis, IN; Ron Tacey of Newington, CT-based A.H. Harris & Sons Inc.; and Jeff Longworth of McClellan Sales in Blaine, MN, were appointed to the board of directors.
Scott McLean of Franklin, PA-based Miller-Dalloz Fall Protection; Jeff Durgin of Diamond Back Diamond Blades Inc. in Newark, NJ; and Jeff Campbell of Porter-Cable Co. in Jackson, TN, were named to the Manufacturer�s Liaison Committee.
Tom Hunter of Ft. Collins, CO-based Hunter & Associates Inc., and Richard Lawless of The Lawless Group in Dallas were appointed to the Reps Liaison Committee.
Advance registration for the convention was up 8.1% this year to 3,961, organizers reported. STAFDA sold 747 booths, an event record.
The next convention is scheduled for November 2-4, 2003, in Atlanta.
Membership totals 2,603, including 1,199 distributors,1,074 associates, 311 reps and 19 publishing affiliates.
