Atlantic Fasteners’ Threaded Rod & Hex Nuts Featured in Boston Public Art

Atlantic Fasteners announced it donated fasteners for public art in Boston. Colorful flowers made from threaded rod and hex nuts donated by Atlantic Fasteners are decorating a sidewalk in Boston”s Chinatown from May through November.
The handmade flowers were created by fifth graders.
Were nspired by a traditional Chinese floral pattern and are made from recycled plastic soda bottles into flowers with 200 stems of three-foot-long, one-quarter-inch diameter steel zinc plated threaded rod, secured with 400 one-quarter-inch zinc-plated steel hex nuts. The public art intervention project aims to transform unused urban spaces, explained artist and architect Marrikka Trotter.
