Armendariz Heads WAI

Dane Armendariz of Henkel Corp. is the new president of the Wire Association International for 2010.
Armendariz succeeds 2009 president Antonio Ayala of J.J. Lowe Associates.
Armendariz has been in the surface treatment industry for 30 years. Currently he is business development manager for Henkel and works primarily in new processes and environmentally friendly products for the wire, tube and stainless steel industries.
Armendariz joined WAI in 1993 and has served on numerous association committees.
WAI ‘s 2010 executive committee members are: First vice president Dominique Perroud, Samp USA Inc; second vice president Nick Nickoletopoulos, general manager of Sivaco Wire Group/Canada; Richard Miller, Southwire Co.; and Ayala.
Steve Fetteroll is executive director.
Founded in 1930, WAI is a not-for-profit association with 2,167 individual members in 58 countries.
WAI manages the Interwire Trade Exhibition and the Wire Expo event and publishes the Wire Journal International and Wire Journal International Reference Guide through a subsidiary operation.
