APV Marks 125 Years

APV Engineered Coatings is marking its 125th anniversary. Founded in 1878 as Akron Varnish Works, APV initially served the bicycle and then automobile industries. David Venarge acquired Akron Paint & Varnish in 1982 and changed the name to APV Engineered Coatings.
Today Akron, OH-based APV is ISO 9001-2000 certified and provides fastener coatings plus outsourcing manufacturing, private labeling and packaging. APV has 75 employees. Web: apv-eng-coatings.com �2003 FastenerNews.com
