Mounting Shaft Collars Provide Design Flexibility
PRODUCT NEWS
A new line of heavy-duty steel collars that are slotted to accept flat plate or screws for attachment to pipe and various flat surfaces is being introduced by Stafford Manufacturing Corp. of Wilmington, Massachusetts.
Stafford Heavy-Duty Mounting Collars feature wider bodies than conventional shaft collars and are available in three configurations: one has a slot on the bottom, perpendicular to the shaft, which accepts 1/4″ plate, one has a slot parallel to the shaft which accepts 1/4″ plate, and one has a mounting flat and a 1/2″-13 hole that is counterbored to maintain a smooth bore.
Designed to provide machinery builders with more alternatives when mounting components, Stafford Heavy-Duty Mounting Collars are suitable for new and retrofit applications. Machined from steel, they range from 5/8″ to 1″ W, offered in one- and two-piece styles, and come in 3/4″ to 3-1/2″ I.D. and pipe sizes. Options include stainless steel and special sizes and hole configurations.
Stafford Heavy-Duty Mounting Collars are priced from $ 14.95 up, depending upon configuration, size, and quantity. Price quotations are available on request.
