1988 FIN – Duncan Bolt Sold to Cohn
August 31, 1988 FIN – Andy Cohn, a 14-year veteran of the fastener industry, and Virginia Cohn purchased the assets of Duncan Bolt on August 22.
Duncan Bolt was founded 35 years ago by David Duncan, who will remain as a consultant.
Cohn had been in charge of the Los Angeles division of Allied International. He started his career at Bay City Screw & Bolt in San Carlos CA, and then joined Fasteners Inc. in Denver, where he was general manager for eight years.
His father is Eric Cohn, who headed Allied International. Virginia Cohn is the daughter of Luke Sullivan, who operates Sullivan Bolt in Commerce, CA. Woody Duncan and Marlene Mathison will continue to handle inside sales.
Duncan Bolt is a master distributor and importer of slotted, castle, he and left hand nuts; A307 heavy hex bolts, malleable iron round and bevel washers, slotted flat cap screws, square bolts and a full line of hot dip galvanized fasteners.

2010 Update: In 1999, Duncan Bolt moved from Huntington Park to a 32,000 sq ft. facility at 8538 Dice Rd., Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670. Tel: 562 698-8800 Fax 562 698-8831.
Duncan Bolt opened a branch in Phoenix in 2003 and Shanghai, China in 2006.
