Orbitform Acquires Arbor Automation

Fastener and assembly systems manufacturer Orbitform Inc. acquired Arbor Automation.
Orbitform manufactures orbital forming products, impact riveting, assembly systems, precision presses, process monitoring and control, Thernuform fastening and auto load systems.
Arbor provides material-handling systems, including its palletized conveyor system, Wipcon.
Arbor will be located in Orbitform�s Jackson, MI, headquarters.
Orbitform president Mike Shirkey said the acquisition allows the company to �offer intelligent material handling solutions to manufacturers and distributors throughout the world.�
Shirkey said Orbitform�s �process-engineering orientation� combined with Arbor�s experience �adds value by providing our customers with a turnkey package that increases production.�
Orbitform is part of the engineered products group at Industrial Holdings Inc. IHI announced in August that it is selling the group, but it has not named the buyer.
