Newly formed SimRidge Technologies acquired Huck Jacobson Plastics Group from Alcoa Inc.
The injection molding plants had reported within Alcoa�s Tucson, AZ-based Huck International unit. Huck primarily makes metal fasteners.\
Founder Harvey Jacobson sold three plastics and three metal processing plants to Cordant Technologies Inc. in 1998. Cordant subsidiary Huck was put in charge of managing the businesses. In 2000 Alcoa purchased Cordant.
New Braunfels, TX-based SimRidge is a partnership headed by Gary Simons and Hollis Wooldridge. Consumer products and computers are the firm�s largest markets.
